While the tech team is busy working days and nights to bring alive the best blockchain platform for donations tracking, our CEO, Francesco Nazari Fusetti flew to Los Angeles to attend the City Gala, one of the major charity events in Los Angeles held right in Universal Studios premises.
City Gala leveraged CharityStars expertise and technology to raise over 200,000$ in live and silent auctions. This was made possible thanks to CharityStars’ tablets located on the tables that enabled all guests to bid in real-time. And the great news is that soon the bids will also be accepted in ETH, BTC and AidCoin, which is a great case for the AidCoin adoption.
Ashton Kutcher, globally renowned actor, investor, and philanthropist, headlined the event and gave a very emotional speech about the power of doing good and presented his foundation, Thorn.

The City Gala was founded in 2013 in order to support and promote non-profit, charitable organizations that have a mission to advance humanitarian causes.

Programs and initiatives such as advancing educational efforts, mentor-ship programs, equal rights advocacy, climate change research, shelter for the homeless, and access health & medicine are all causes that the City Gala supports.

Another special guest was Matthew McConaughey who was named the 2018 Inspiration Honoree for his work with charitable foundation just keep livin.
