Inter Campus commits to adopt AidCoin soon!
On March 9th FC Internazionale Milano, one of the biggest Italian football clubs competing in the Serie A league, held a Gala to celebrate a unique historic benchmark — 110th anniversary of the club. Founded in 1908, Inter is globally renowned as one of the world’s most successful football teams. Internazionale by name, international by nature: currently owned by the Chinese group Suning and with a growing popularity across all Asian countries.
The long list of attendees counted a whole bunch of Inter legends, from both on and off the pitch: Ronaldo, Zanetti, Toldo, Matthaus, Tronchetti Provera, Moratti and others, which drew a lot of attention to the event.
No wonder that CharityStars Live Bidding system, previously featured at the City Gala in LA, helped raise 43,000 EUR in just several hours. More than 30 unique Inter items including giant wooden figures of the 12 Inter Hall of Fame finalists, designed by artist Werther Banfi, and shirts with a special patch dedicated to the club’s anniversary were auctioned in real-time through CharityStars’ tablets placed on the tables. The auction’s proceeds will be donated to the Associaçao Real Maré, a Brazilian partner of Inter Campus, the CSR programme of FC Internazionale Milano, and here’s where the most interesting part of the story begins.
In line with AidCoin mission Inter Campus acknowledges the importance of transparency in the third sector. That’s why the organization committed to become one of the early AidCoin adopters in order to create additional value for its donors and reap other benefits the platform has in store.
“Even being an outside observer of the blockchain space I can say that AidCoin is poised to change the world for the better. That’s why Inter Campus will be more than happy to join the AIDChain platform in the near future.” Said Carlotta Moratti, President of Inter Campus
Originating as an expression of the ethical spirit that has characterized the Inter club from the time of its founding in 1997, Inter Campus has been giving back the right to play to thousands of children in need, using sportsmanship and the game of soccer as educational tools. The project has also been supporting local educational, social and sanitary protection programs, and promoting social integration among differing ethnic groups and cultures. Through a network of nonprofits and partners throughout the World, Inter Campus is currently active in 4 continents and 29 countries helping 10,000 boys and girls aged 6 to 13.
All of this makes Inter Campus a great solidarity organization and we are very proud to become partners.
Stay tuned, more to come in the coming weeks!
