The first crypto workshop catching the attention of 80 top-tier charity funds

This Monday in Milan AidCoin held a workshop, where its CEO & Co-Founder, Francesco Nazari Fusetti, presented AidCoin’s vision to an unprecedented number of over 80 nonprofits. The long list of charities present at the event includes world-renowned players of the nonprofit sector such as:

-Red Cross
-Unicef
-Save the Children
-Emergency
-Médecins sans frontières

Why is this important?

When we first explored the concept of AidCoin, not only did we leverage the experience and knowledge gained by CharityStars, AidCoin’s partner and founding company, but also interviewed dozens of leaders in the non-profit sector. This helped us to explore the most acute problems charities and donors face, and find the best ways to solve them. It was also then when we introduced charities to the ultimate idea of the AidCoin project and received positive feedback as well as commitments to join our platform.

However, it was only this Monday that representatives of top charities finally gathered together with a single purpose: discover the benefits that a platform like AidChain can offer by enhancing the traceability of the donation process. The good news is, more and more organizations want to proceed with one-on-one meetings to identify the best strategies for introducing AidCoin within their networks.

Despite the fact that for most attendees it was the first acquaintance with the world of blockchain and crypto, the overall majority expressed a genuine interest in the highlighted technologies. Throughout the workshop, charity representatives posed dozens of questions about blockchain’s implementation, shifts it will cause in how we donate and legal issues we will have to face. Obviously, there are many challenges yet to overcome and nonprofits understand this. Still, they are keen to set off on this journey to make up for eroded trust, resulting in insufficient donations and growing inequalities.

That’s why we’re poised to keep educating the nonprofit sector and will set up as many workshops as we can in the near future. The more charities discover the benefits of what AidCoin has in store, the more transparent the sector will become and eventually the better world we will live in.
