Let’s have a look at the quarterly stats of AidStream and the upcoming upgrades in the system.

AidStream Quarterly Stats

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition published a total of 568 activities between April to June 2023 via AidStream. This is the highest number of activities published for the quarter via AidStream. Invest International published 504 activities to the IATI registry via AidStream. Likewise, UNAIDS published 395 activities, International Development Law Organization published 170 activities, International Idea published 118 activities, and TradeMark East Africa published 114 activities.

For the past quarter, UNAIDS reported 485 activities with the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs (NL MFA) as the main donor. TradeMark East Africa had 30 activities, International Center for Transitional Justice had 19 activities, International Development Law Organization had 18 activities and IDH, the Sustainable Trade Initiative and Stichting CARE Nederland each had 10 activities published with the main donor as NL MFA.

UNAIDS reported 485 activities with Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) as the main donor. Likewise, TradeMark International had a total of 63 activities published with the main donor as FCDO. IMC Worldwide Ltd and Overseas Development Institute had 54 and 35 activities published via AidStream respectively.

The most reported recipient country via AidStream for the quarter is Kenya. Kenya was reported in 311 activities as a recipient country. Ethiopia was the second most recorded recipient country with 246 activities. Uganda as a recipient country was recorded in 179 activities, Bangladesh in 144 activities, India in 143 activities, Tanzania in 142 activities, Nigeria in 130 activities, Mozambique in 128 activities and Ghana in 100 activities.

All sectors mentioned here are from the OECD DAC 5-digit list provided by the IATI Standard. The most reported sector by publishers was STD Control including HIV/AIDS (sector code- 13040) with mentions in 407 activities. The second most reported sector is Women’s rights organisations and movements, and government institutions (sector code- 15170) with mentions in 267 activities. Democratic participation and civil society (15150) with 263 mentions. Human Rights, Material relief assistance and services and Legal and judicial development have 119, 125, 102 mentions respectively.

For the quarter, 30.7% of organisations reporting via AidStream were funded by FCDO, 26.8% by NL MFA, 15.1% by Belgian Development Cooperation and 27.4% by other donor organisations.

What’s New?

We will have new and improved import functionality for activities, transactions and result imports soon. The upgrade in import functionality involves a better UI/UX experience, easier and logical workflow with an improved version of import templates (XLS templates).
