Hello Innovators!

Discovering!

This week at the Applied Innovation Exchange we had the pleasure of inviting one of our biggest clients over to talk about all things AI, Digital Twinning, Low coding and future thinking. With some planning and great support from throughout the business we delivered a super workshop and exploration with our clients learning and having many aha moments to boot.

TechnoVision

This week was also the official launch of TechnoVision, Capgemini’s annual tech trend report and it didn’t disappoint. So many different trends are covered in the literature, from immersive technology trends to info-structures and data utilisation to how people will collaborate in the future, looking at you, Chat GPT. If you haven’t seen or heard about it, take a look here and get your own copy. Or feel free to stop by the Applied Innovation Exchange and we’ll walk you through it.

Something robots can’t do

Finally, my week ended with the taking of two wisdom teeth. While I was very nervous for the procedure, I have to admit that dentistry has come a long way. There was no pain, no bother. I’m down two teeth but I feel great.

It really made me think about innovation in medical care and how important empathy is in the process. Maybe the most important role that AI and other tools may take in the future is to do all the required busy tasks that take up most of our human time and leave us to really embrace our humanity again. My dentist was a professional and everything went well, but the part of the experience I am most grateful for is being cared for through a scary time. That’s something robots can’t do. At least, not yet.

Until next time, keep innovating!
