Here in AIESEC, the turning point for beginnings are relative to a new term.

At the forefront of positive change are your next set of Executive Board members who have, like everyone else, spent the last few months at home in the middle of a global pandemic that challenged the way we deliver our vision as an organization.

The next 525,600 minutes that we spend as an entity are unguaranteed. We have no control over the threats of COVID-19, nor can we ignore the limitations of physical distancing. But I put my full confidence in the conscious effort that we exert to become even more socially relevant despite the changing landscapes that we face today.

You are champions of circumstance. From adapting to a virtual way of life to internalizing the long-term implications of this new normal, your presence alone is youth leadership at its prime. And so, in the next 12 months may we continuously embody the values we want to instill in others, catalyze the change we wish to see, and develop more conscious leaders that address the needs of our immediate communities.

But how do we measure a year of uncertainty? How do we make the days count?

Simple. We define moments.

So here’s to our moments, small and big they may be.

To reinventing leadership,

Sofi

Local Committee President 21.22
