No matter where we are or who we are, we all live by different values from how we were raised. Each value shapes us to the people who we are now, and those we stay attached to over the years. We meet people along the way that may share similar values or different values from time to time.

Now ask yourself this:

What values that you hold that are non-negotiable?”

If you were to ask me, I would say that the topic three values that I would never change would be: Respect, Open-Mindedness, and Trust.

Each of these values, that I mentioned plays a big role in who I am as a person. I always see values as something that helps shape a person and that it is what the person lives by. Values go a long way, and that it shows how a person leads and how they are in their day to day lives. Knowing the values of each person can help better understand them and show who they are as people.

Living by the values that we have can be difficult to show during times of crisis. With all the news and the different announcements we see in social media, it could be easy to let go of the values that we hold and let the crisis get the better of us. It is during these times that our values are to be tested and see if we can still live by the values that we believe in.

With everything that has been happening lately, do we still live by the values that should be non-negotiable or did we let the situation get the better of us? It’s times like this we should demonstrate our values no matter the situation, since what life would we live if we always change our values towards different situations presented to us.
