Montreal (June 5th, 2017) — Since the aifred team just can’t get enough of brilliant minds, we are beyond thrilled to announce that members of our team will be attending the AI for Good Global Summit hosted at ITU in Geneva, Switzerland from June 7th-9th. This event serves to stimulate the expansion and innovation of AI technologies as solutions to global challenges involving hunger, poverty, the environment, healthcare, education and other issues facing humanity.

The AI for Good Global Summit boasts not only distinguished AI pioneers, but also government officials, UN agencies and leaders in industry in creating a diverse mosaic of opinions which are critical in forming solutions and creating productive dialogue regarding the role of AI technologies on the global stage.

It is truly an honour to be included in such an impactful group of intellectuals, and we are excited to contribute to the discussion of the capabilities of AI technologies. Some of the stellar participants in the event include Margaret Chan, Director-General of World Health Organization (WHO); Peter Norvig, Director of Research at Google; and many others.

In order to sum it up, Project Leader Abhishek Gupta puts it best: “The mission of the AI for Good summit aligns perfectly with the change aifred is going to create; mental health leads to tremendous losses in the quality of life and through our machine learning approach to increase treatment efficacy we are going to help create dramatic improvements in the life of the families and individuals suffering from mental health issues. “
