I won’t spoil all ‘three things’ — you should just read her post — but I found Medha’s second takeaway on the advantages and disadvantages of deep learning particularly helpful. I’ve heard the pros and cons discussed before in more granularity, but her summary is pleasantly succinct (as is the rest of the post).

The more I explore, it becomes clearer to me that there is no shortage of useful ‘explainer’ content online for machine learning. That said, I find reading variations on the explanation of the same concepts is helping me cement my understanding of them.
