1 Month of Sweat, Joy and Tears — Aigang Recap

It has been one month since we started actively working on Aigang.

And what a month it was.

Let’s start with some Joyful things!

We’re happy that we were featured on several crypto news sites like CryptoCoinNews, CoinTelegraph and BitConnect.Co. But the most of all — Aigang was featured on New York Times Square! Right on the side of Thomson Reuters Building!

Further, we’re really happy there are over 800 of you all across our channels! It really means a lot to build such a huge community in such a short time.

If you still haven’t opted for updates, joined Slack or Telegram — please do so! We are often announcing new and exciting things, I personally send a newsletter every Monday on what we did last week and share our progress so far.

Our growing community wasn’t the only thing that grew — our team was joined by 3 tech developers!

Darius, Mindaugas & Naglis. These three musketeers made Aigang Demo possible on such a short notice.

Darius is responsible for all front-end & back-end of the website. As well as, security of the website. Which is a top notch at the moment. He is creating a fully functional Investment dashboard — where it would be possible to invest in insurance straight from the website.

Mindaugas is a creator of our iOS App. If you have an iPhone — thank him. Because Aigang wouldn’t be possible on it without Mindaugas. The demo is still in TestFlight — we can only send it to your email, but it’s just the matter of time Aigang becomes available on Official Apple AppStore.

Finally, Naglis took over the Androids and brought Aigang Digital Insurance over to the tremendous Android market. He also published our demo app on Google Play Store — so you can get it right away!

The Hackathon: One Weekend to build the Aigang Demo Apps.

Let me tell you — it was one busy weekend. But the demo was literally finished in 48 hours! Of course, it was pretty sweaty 48 hours of non-stop coding and programming and only moving away from computer’s screen to grab a bite. The outcome is what you see when you download the demo.

However, don’t think we work here on Aigang just on weekends. To be honest, we should put it differently — we work on weekends TOO.

When you tackle such project it just has to become your lifestyle. You have to be committed and dedicated to it. And then Double Down that commitment by sleeping less.

We’ve also attended #BIP001 at Odessa. Well, me and Augustas. It was a crazy time with very smart individuals. Some great thoughts were shared by absolute blockchain thought leaders — like Vlad Zamfir, Frank Schwab, Pavel Kravchenko and many more.

I personally learnt a lot about blockchain! I recommend everyone getting to BIP at least once! It’s hard to find a better place than Odessa. I already want to return there.

But you know what they say. All that glitters isn’t gold!

Let me share some negative things. Not everything went as it was expected.

Even if there are already 800 of you, I aimed for at least 1 thousand by the end of the month. Seems like we’re not too far off, but what’s the point of setting goals if you can’t meet them? The main cause, I believe, was a wrong choice of Press Release distribution channels.

Oh well, you live and you learn.
