July 17, 2018 Event Held at UN Global Compact Office in New York City

The July 17 event was hosted in person in New York City with virtual attendees from the United Kingdom, India, Australia and Denmark.

AIM2Flourish Director Claire Sommer presented the Fowler Center for Business as an Agent of World Benefit’s higher education initiative on July 17 to a global audience as part of a workshop called “Educating for Sustainable Development: Innovative Programs for Achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.”

Convened by the UN Global Compact PRME inititative during the 2018 High Level Political Forum (HLPF), the workshop showcased innovative programs engaging students in assessing business contributions towards the Sustainable Development Goals. The program presented a range of classroom engagements and student-driven projects along with academic research and assessment.

Ms. Sommer presented research findings from AIM2Flourish’s first three years, including student reflections and mindset shifts.

Other speakers included results from the MGSM — PRME Survey on Responsible Management Education, initiated by Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM)and WikiRate, an open tool for collaborative research, with a mission to spur corporations to be transparent and responsive by making data about their environmental social and governance (ESG) performance structured, comparable and available for all.
