As we embrace the dawn of 2023, AI is not just changing our world; it’s redefining the very essence of what it means to be human — pushing boundaries, fostering innovation, and inspiring progress.

Over the past year, artificial intelligence has been a pervasive theme that has pushed boundaries and redefined several industries.

Between September 2022 and August 2023, the top 50 AI tools generated over 24 billion visits, with an average monthly growth of 236.3 million visits.

Of this huge number, ChatGPT alone accounted for 14 billion traffic, covering a massive 60% of the traffic analyzed.

This eye-opening statistic on the digital behavior of the AI industry sets the tone for what lies ahead as we explore its intricate layers.

I conducted a comprehensive study of over 2,000 AI tools using the popular SEMrush tool. I gathered data from various directories that list AI tools and analyzed the traffic over a period of one year, from September 2022 to August 2023, in R programming language. Based on the analysis, I identified the top most visited AI tools, which accounted for over 80% of the traffic in the AI industry during the given period.

This study analyzes AI industry behavior, including traffic patterns, demographics, trends, and consumer behavior in 2023, and predicts its impact on the following year.

Bonus Tip 2: One great AI Productivity Writing tool I recently started using for day-to-day writing and tasks such as plagiarism checker, grammar checker, QuillBot-Flow , QuillBot AI Content Detector, Paraphraser, Summariser, and translator is QuillBot .
