We’re thrilled to bring you the latest edition of Self-Driving Stories, where we recap the most important news and breakthroughs from the past three months. Let’s dive into the latest and greatest of March and April.

aiSim and aiData updates

It’s fresh from the oven: the aiSim latest release, 5.2.0, is now available! It provides new virtual environments, including San Francisco Lombard Street and the first Neural Rendering-based San Francisco area. New features include the F-Theta camera lens distortion model, Doppler Velocity in the LiDAR sensor, and Japanese language support in the aiSim GUI. For more: https://aimotive.com/aisim

In May, we had some exciting news for our Japanese customers! aiSim is now fully equipped with custom localized assets, signage, cars, and a Japanese UI, ensuring seamless integration with your projects. Additionally, our Japanese website has been revamped and is ready to welcome visitors. To learn more, watch the video and visit https://lnkd.in/dZWKHG2f

aiData is your all-in-one solution for collecting, generating, annotating, and managing data for automated driving development. Watch our video to see how our renamed tools ensure a safe and robust AD/ADAS solution!

Event updates

Our AI Research Scientists made waves at CVPR in Seattle! At the conference, they presented aiMotive’s demo, ‘Controllable Neural Reconstruction for Autonomous Driving,’ showing how we leverage cutting-edge neural rendering technology. Thanks to the advanced research at aiMotive, our aiSim simulator is already ahead of the curve, being a very early adaptor of NeRF and 3D Gaussian Splatting-based environment reconstruction.

We had back-to-back discussions with engineers and researchers from more than 50 companies working to solve the validation challenge of automated driving. We have also received many inquiries about using aiSim for scientific research at universities. Since we understand the importance of knowledge sharing and cooperation, we have recently launched an aiSim Academic License Program — welcoming universities and researchers to participate in developing tomorrow’s simulation technology.

If you are interested in these academic licenses, send us an inquiry at info@aimotive.com or get in touch with us through our website: https://lnkd.in/d3bjHYQv

We had great fun, but more importantly, lots of effective and productive meetings and even more interested people at the Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo 2024 in Stuttgart in June. If you are interested in what we showcased there, our ISO26262-certified simulation suite, aiSim, or if you want to use aiData to collect, generate, use, and manage data for a safe and robust AD/ADAS solution, reach out to us: info@aimotive.com
