From the podcast:

Blockchains can only reach their full potential when they are able to interact with each other autonomously. That’s the driving idea behind Nuco. In order to achieve this, they are developing a blockchain that acts similarly to a router, called Aion. Through a system of nodes and bridges built on staking functions, Aion can signal one blockchain to react to another–for example, information input about medical insurance on one blockchain can trigger a billing request on another blockchain. Besides the medical insurance industry, this also has the potential to influence commodity trading, government, and more. In the next year, they hope to have their first test network and further develop and mature their design.
