Airfox Named Top Blockchain Startup by TechCrunch
While our team is gearing up to bring microloans out of beta, it was such an honor to learn Airfox was named among the top blockchain startups by TechCrunch Disrupt 2018. The competition was fierce, with TC Top Picks carefully reviewed and vetted by the knowledgeable TechCrunch journalists.
For three days in San Francisco from Sept. 5–7, Airfox will attend one of the best startup tech conferences and exhibit in Startup Alley — TechCrunch’s “amazing menagerie of innovation.” Airfox CEO and co-founder Victor Santos will be meeting TechCrunch editors on stage to share our story and speak about how the AirToken (AIR) platform brings critical financial services to the underserved. Airfox will also be on-site demoing new features including microloans, money withdrawals, and recharging of public transit cards to the 10,000 expected attendees.

A sad reality today is that it’s much easier to secure funding for a dog walking app than financial service solutions to help the poor lift themselves out of poverty.
