Aeternity showcases the integration of AirGap in the base æpp

Aeternity base æpp with AirGap Vault integration
The AirGap system uses AirGap Vault app as the secure storage of your secret and the AirGap Wallet app as a way of managing your funds and broadcasting your transactions.
AirGap can also be integrated in existing environments like web or mobile wallets. Such an integration allows to prepare and manage transactions within the branded wallet.
The steps for creating a transactions are exactly the same if you use the Aeternity base æpp or the AirGap Wallet app.
1 ¬ Users can create a new transaction with an address, amount and a fee in the base æpp.
2 ¬ A QR code with this transaction is generated.
3 ¬ This QR code is scanned with AirGap Vault, ensuring one-way communication only with QR codes.
4 ¬ To sign the transaction the secure enclave is accessed with biometric authentication.
5 ¬ The signed transaction is displayed in a QR code.
6 ¬ The QR code is scanned by the base æpp and broadcasted to the blockchain.

What is AirGap?
AirGap has a two app approach, that gives you added security while handling your crypto funds. You get the highest security if you install AirGap Vault on a separate smartphone, and never connect that phone with any network again. If you handle smaller amount of funds you can install both apps on the same device and still profit from added security.
