Setting up an air gapped device and creating transactions on these machines has been tedious and complicated for non tech-savy people.

The Most Secure And Practical Way To Do Crypto Transactions

With AirGap we want to make it as practical as possible for you to set up such a client on an air gapped machine and then easily create transaction to that client. So that you can have the needed security to be your own bank but still have the versatility to make transactions without a big hassle.

This Air Gapped Solution Consists Of 2 Components

A broadcaster that is connected to the blockchain and deals only with public data.

A signer which is air gapped and deals with the secret bits.

The broadcaster retrieves the required network information for a given address (nonce & gas price). This information is typed into the signer, which can create and sign the transaction. The signed transaction is later on transferred (through QR code) to the broadcaster which will broadcast the transaction.

Some Questions You Might Have

If they’re not answered here you can read our FAQ, reach out to us on the social channels or with an email to hi@airgap.it.

Wait A Minute.. What Does Air Gapped Mean?!
An air gap is a security measure which isolates a computer physically from the any network. An air gapped client has no connection to a network what so ever, this means no connection to the internet or any other local area network. The client is clearly cut off from any connection thus guaranteeing that no third party can access the client.

Can I Look At Your Code?
Of course, the whole AirGap project is Open Source. We have put a lot of effort into this project and will do so in the future. A breach of trust would mean the end of it, our incentive is to be as transparent as possible.

Which Crypto Currencies Are Currently Supported?
Currently we support only Ethereum (ETH). If the feedback from you guys is good and people start using this solution we will certainly add Ethereum Classic (ETC) and Bitcoin (BTC). If there is a currency you would like to be supported just let us know and we see what we can do.
