What is the VERSE token?
VERSE is a rewards and utility token for users who contribute to and participate in the Bitcoin.com ecosystem. Launched in December 2022, the VERSE token is designed to expand access to decentralized finance.
One of the key components of the Bitcoin.com ecosystem is Verse DEX, Bitcoin.com’s decentralized exchange, which enables low-fee and permissionless trading. The health of Verse DEX is measured by the liquidity it attracts, and VERSE token plays a vital role in incentivizing liquidity providers and participants in Verse Farms through rewards, thereby fostering the growth of liquidity on the exchange.
Liquidity provision and yield farming are the primary use cases of VERSE token at present. Users can earn VERSE tokens by providing liquidity to VERSE pools on the Verse DEX, along with other crypto, with rewards measured in Annual Percentage Yield (APY). Additionally, Verse Farms offer an opportunity for users to deposit select Liquidity Pool (LP) tokens, enabling them to earn rewards in the form of VERSE Tokens, contributing to their passive income stream.
