Moonriver delegation guide with AirGap

A moment ago we added Moonriver to our list of increasing protocols. We’ve had many users choose AirGap as their go-to wallet for securely storing their Moonriver coin(MOVR). For our users ready to stake their MOVR, here is what you need to know and how to go about it in AirGap.

Key Staking Considerations:

Depending on your collator, there is a commission on profit made through delegation, 20% for the default collator in AirGap.
A new delegation is required to compound your MOVR rewards(no auto compound).
Choose the collator you trust.
unbonding period takes 2 days.
The APR you will earn is determined by the collator you choose.
The minimum staking is 5 MOVR.
Maximum staking is 100 MOVR.

Staking Moonriver: Step by step guide

To begin staking Moonriver, first, ensure you have set up a MOVR account. If you already have a Moonriver account, you may want to skip the next five steps.

Go to the vault, click on the arrow button at the bottom right (Image 1), and click the plus button. (Image 2)

Select the Moonriver protocol and click the create button to add the MOVR protocol. (Image 3) Your MOVR account should be ready in the Vault. (Image 4) Sync the account to the wallet. (Image 5)

⁄The next page asks you how you want to interact with the wallet. For the offline mode, you will scan the QR-code. For the same device approach, click the same device button to launch and sync the wallet.

Allow the balance to load up and click the import button. (Image 6)

Now you’ve successfully created a MOVR account, you can fund your wallet and begin delegating.

Open your wallet and select your Moonriver account. Click the delegation button. (Image 7)

On the next page, you can change the collator you wish to delegate to, and specify the amount MOVR token you want to delegate.

Depending on the device approach you’re using, scan the QR-code to sign for the device approach or launch the vault to sign for a single device approach. (Image 9)
