Tezos Delegations in AirGap
Version 2.3.0 of AirGap Wallet brings support for Tezos Delegation, you can now conveniently delegate your Tezzies (XTZ) out of AirGap.
Earn rewards, stake your XTZ
With the Proof of Stake network Tezos, block validation happens with so called “Bakers”. To participate in consensus, these “Bakers” put up collaterals and accept delegations and receive rewards for this participation.
For a user the simplest way to participate in baking and receive rewards, is to delegate this task to a baker. The baker normally charges a small fee to cover their infrastructure and operating fees.
One Transaction Delegation directly out of AirGap
With the AirGap Wallet and AirGap Vault iOS or Android apps you can now directly delegate your XTZ with our offline device approach or from the same device, if you have both apps installed on your daily smartphone.
After setting up your secret and importing your Tezos account to AirGap Wallet. Create a delegation transaction with “Delegate”, a new account (kt) will be created, the funds you’ll have on your Tezos Account (tz) will be send to the new account and also delegated. It’s as easy as that.
Introducing tezosAirGap
We’re excited to introduce the AirGap bakery with the name tezosAirGap tz1MJx9vhaNRSimcuXPK2rW4fLccQnDAnVKJ
tezosAirGap is open for delegations and has a fee of 10%, which means delegators receive 90% of all rewards. From cycle 100–105 we have a special offering with a 5% fee.
The rewards are paid out every cycle, after they are generated and unlocked. For a new delegation the first payout will occur after ~21 days (7 cycles) and for existing delegations it is ~15 days (5 cycles) after the rewards are generated.
tezosAirGap is currently a quite small baker but we’re looking forward to accepts more delegations in the future. Try it out and let us know if you have any feedback.
