Introduction
[Mohammed Badat] My name is Mohammed Badat, I am based in Johannesburg South Africa.
I have been a software engineer for 32 years and have developed in many spheres. I currently own and run a Software development consultancy for the past 20 years as well as a Wireless ISP for the last 8 years. I have been involved in the Avalanche Crypto space for the last year as the lead developer for a project called Rugpull Prevention, where we try to prevent newcomers in the space from being scammed.
We bring a wealth of knowledge into this space and combine our shared passion for Motor racing, motorcar restoration and modifications, together with the knowledge in software development to deliver a Racing engine that will be the core of Wen Lambo
[Tyree Robinson]: Hello! I’m Tyree. I received my BFA from Carnegie Mellon University in 2010. I am a business owner, artist, and writer. I have joined the aiRight and Oraichain as a proud SamORAI Ambassador. As an actor, I have shared the screen with some legends, such as Steve Buscemi, Michael K Williams, and Jeffrey Wright. I have been working closely with the team to connect aiRight and all of the great advantages it has to offer to the many NFT artists and collectors that need it. Q&A with DCRC team
1, Tyree Robinson: Will you give our community a high-level overview of the game you are building on the AVAX network?
DCRC Racing: Currently the game on Avalanche will have the following functionality:
1. Single player race against AI opponents
2. PvP games where players can stake RaceX tokens in a winner takes all
3. MultiPlayer games where players race realtime for winnings staked in a pot
4. Virtual races — Where players don’t really want to play, but want the opportunity to enter their vehicles into races to earn
5. Real vs Real — Here IRL races will be virtualized. Players will capture real-life race times using our mobile app and enter their times into these races staked by RaceX tokens. This data will be virtualized and shown. Players don’t need to be physically together to race each other — Race with Borders
6. And finally Real vs Virtual. Entering your real race time against virtual opposition.
Tyree Robinson: Real Vs Real and Real vs Virtual. Sounds like the next evolution of metaverse racing.
DCRC Racing: Yes absolutely, but not just that, we want the engine to be truly Metaverse, by introducing partnerships like the aiRight Wen Lambo project allowing for cross-chain racing as well
2, Tyree Robinson: What touchpoints will players be able to use to access your game?
DCRC Racing: The game will initially be web-based, but will grow to be PC and mobile-based as well
We are also looking at the incorporation of game controllers in future releases of the engine
3, Tyree Robinson: You recently finished up your presale round for NFKeys: how many were sold and what was the cost?
DCRC Racing: we minted a total of 2100 of them and sold 1745 Keys at a cost of 2AVAX each and burnt the remaining 355 to keep the exclusivity of these keys

4, Linh: How will the game on Oraichain mainnet be different from your current project on AVAX and what aspects will be shared?
DCRC Racing: To date, we’ve had a number of projects approach the DCRC team to build from our race and customization engine. We are excited to share this technology as a foundation for many race games on multiple networks. The game on Oraichain mainnet will be the first game outside of DCRC to be developed intensively using our engine. Some key differences to point out:
Different Race modes and unique DeFi gaming options for “no-loss competition.
The “journey”. Once public sales begin, cars purchased will require restoration. This means users must earn XP, or experience points, through practice mode and competition in order to unlock customization kits and parts.
Token. While we have launched $RaceX as the currency for the DCRC ecosystem, Wen Lambo will rely on Oraichain’s native currencies AIRI and ORAI.
Rental Marketplace. Shortly after our release of Wen Lambo, we plan to implement the rental marketplace as a key revenue generator for vehicle owners.
Metaverse partnerships. DCRC is a race2earn metaverse of its own on AVAX. We look forward to building on aiRight’s strong partnerships in the metaverse, like Netvrk and Fomo Lab, for instance, to make Wen Lambo vehicles available for use beyond the native game.
5, Tyree Robinson: Let’s go through gameplay a bit: What are the different race modes users will be able to participate in?
DCRC Racing:
- Challenge Mode: One v. One race mode where users can place the wager of their choice and challenge any racer online. If accepted, users will deposit equal funds and play in a “winner-takes-all” race.
- Group Mode: Up to 10 racers can participate in a group race where each player is required to pay an entry fee. The prize pool is divided amongst the winners based on standings.
- DeFi Season Mode: “No-loss” season mode, allowing users to deposit AIRI tokens or AIRI/BNB LP tokens into a farming vault that utilizes existing farming infrastructure to generate rewards. At the end of each 30-day session, rewards are distributed based on final standings. While the top winners can earn big, all users are guaranteed to earn some passive yield from participation. Details (TBD). Between each session, users can choose to withdraw their earnings and initial LP deposited, or remain in the pool for the next session.
Obviously to do well in any of these modes players will have to practice. They will also have to service, maintain and upgrade their raceCars
6, DCRC Racing: Which token(s) will be used in-game
Tyree Robinson: ORAI token is needed for all transactions on Oraichain mainnet. It is also currently used for all aiRight marketplace transactions to purchase NFTs needed in-game.
In the very near future, aiRight will add additional payment options for NFTs in the marketplace, including AIRI token and Fiat via Credit Card.
AIRI tokens will be used in-game in order to participate in race modes. We currently have no plan to introduce a new token specifically for Wen Lambo, but we always have the option and will consider it once the game is launched if the demand is there.
7, Linh: Oraichain and aiRight teams are running VRF 2.0 and Royalty Protocol, How do you plan on using them on Wen Lambo
Tyree Robinson: Oraichain VRF 2.0: In order to provide a fair and transparent gaming ecosystem, Oraichain’s fully on-chain VRF will be crucial. Though performance upgrades and driver skills will be weighted, the outcome of races still requires a degree of randomness to ensure that all players have the opportunity to defy the odds.
Oraichain’s Royalty Protocol: Owners of upgraded parts and vehicles can set a temporary royalty or “commission” for items they choose to sell in the secondary market. Intensely using this royalty protocol will incentivize users to sell the items that they don’t need and earn a commission if those items are sold again.
8, DCRC Racing: Lastly, how will ORAI, AIRI and RaceX Holders benefit from Wen Lambo?
Tyree Robinson: The first round of presale will be fair launched.
RaceX holders will have the opportunity to whitelist for aiKey presales (Round 2+3). Once the game is launched, we will also have a very special gift for early adopters of DCRC and NFCar Owners.
AIRI and ORAI holders will also have the opportunity to whitelist for aiKey presale (Round 2+3). In addition, these holders will receive aiRight Formula FE vehicles that can be used in free races or sold on the secondary market.
No private sales and no VCs. This is all about building up our communities organically!
Vehicles in Wen Lambo will also be supported in multiple metaverses beyond Oraichain mainnet. In order to ensure availability in each of these ecosystems without diluting our brand or threatening supply in our native game, NFCar owners will receive vehicles airdropped to their associated BSC wallet. Utility, mini games and marketplace details for these metaverse will be announced later. Stay tuned!
Q&A with Community
1, How long should I have to play to get my car ready to race? I heard that I will receive used cars and need to restore them?
Tyree Robinson: If you buy in the presale rounds you will receive a “NEW” car! In public sale rounds, we will begin issuing “used” cars. While the vehicles need restoration for top performance, they can be raced right away in free modes to safely earn XP and unlock customizations to prepare for high-level competitions.
2, What are the reasons you choose aiRight as your partnership and choose Oraichain blockchain to develop your game?
Tyree Robinson: I think Mo answered this quite nicely in the earlier AMA. Partnerships are all about providing utility to each other. aiRight and Oraichain are bringing some great tech needed for the RaceX community. DCRC is bringing fun to the Oraichain mainnet.
Together we look to create a multi-chain and scalable environment to grow our user base beyond the scope of any one network or platform.
3, Given the $100 starting key price and relatively low number of keys, how do you plan on making the game accessible/affordable to everyone?
Linh: Wen Lambo has various race modes with different risks which are suitable for many types of players. And also we have the free-to-race mode
- Practice Mode: Practice mode is used to increase driver skill and unlock XP through hands-on driving experiences. This XP can be used to unlock and claim car customization kits which can be resold on the secondary market.
- Formula FE: All holders of Formula FE cars will have the opportunity to participate in free races. The winner of these races will receive a free vehicle. The cars won here will still require restoration and upgrades in order to compete on a high level.
4, Most of the games categorized as Play to Earn require a prior investment to enter to play. So, is a minimum investment required to be able to play?
Tyree Robinson: You will need an NFT to play. This can be purchased at market price, but could also be rented once the game is fully launched at a low cost.
It should be noted, one reason we’ve decided on the particular race modes mentioned here is to allow users to choose their own adventure, based on their risk. This is not a new token with a yield farm dressed as a game. It is a game that is taking advantage of the best new emerging tech blockchain has to offer and in the process building liquidity for our ecosystem organically through participation.
5, A lot of investors get into the gaming industry and tend to leave right away because their vision is only focused on making money, so how is your game going to keep investors in? Because in my opinion, a game must be fun and satisfying in order to play.
DCRC Racing: Yeah this is the idea behind this development. I have teenagers and gamers as alpha testers of the engine because we want to make it as fun and enjoyable as possible. We will have a beta test program out as well, where we will invite users to participate in testing
6, Many NFT games have a good start but soon fade away and even make no breakthrough. What is your plan to overcome this?
Linh: A clear roadmap of development, a deep understanding and passion for cars, always hearing and on-time improving game by community feedback are our advantage to be confident of growing steadily.
7, What are your upcoming plans and goals? Do you have any top priorities for 2022 in the roadmap?

8, Are you planning on trying to get big car companies licences to bring real-life cars into the game?
Tyree Robinson: We will certainly be looking to make some very exciting partnerships, but all details will be announced later. Once finalized.
9, Holding the best cars and best possible stats, playing 7–8 hours a day, how many tokens can I earn. P2E for some Asian countries is huge, so can I play the game full time?
Tyree Robinson: You have to look at ROI Potential for each particular game mode. This is unlike playing to earn games that constantly dilute token value in order to provide “rewards”. Some Race modes offer up to 2X returns on a single race. But these high-risk modes also carry the risk of losing wager.
DeFi mode is a bit more low-risk. For instance, Right now our AIRI/BNB LP vault offers over 160% APY. These vaults will be used to generate rewards from a 30 day locked season mode. At the end of each session, the initial investment can be withdrawn and rewards collected. Far superior to the “pay2earn’ model
10, Can you tell us where your passion for creating this kind of game comes from?
Linh: As Mo shared with us above, for the DCRC team, cars are a passion, the team share this passion on all levels. They love motor cars and our knowledge in this space puts us in a unique position when developing this game engine, because not only do they have the development expertise, but they also understand the inner workings of motor cars, both standard and in race trim.
11, Hi, I have a question, how will it work regarding compatibility with other blockchains or even consoles?
Tyree Robinson: Details on Console support and other touchpoints will come later. Regarding cross-chain compatibility: the early plan is to allow users to register their wallets on other chains to receive a 1 for 1 airdrop of their vehicle at the time of the snapshot.
So if your vehicle is supported in a metaverse on another chain, it is essentially a free asset in addition to the one you own. This allows us to retain assets and players in our ecosystem while allowing a multi-chain ecosystem.
12, When will Airi be listed on exchanges such Binance, Kucoin and others?
Tyree Robinson: The value of listing to CEX carries a major responsibility for the project. First build. Then populate. Then List. We will certainly consider this as we begin to grow our user base to the levels that justify. We will not use a listing solely as a marketing ploy. This often results in failure and we have no intention of failing
13, I play another P2E game that runs on BSC, the gas fee especially for renting is a nightmare when the token price goes down. Will we have many tasks on-chain that require a gas fee?
Tyree Robinson: Gas fees on Oraichain are nearly the lowest of any network. Less than the equivalent of $.0001 USD in ORAI tokens. Gas fees will not be a hindrance to earning in this ecosystem.
14, What about your token economics, are there any incentives for holders of tokens and any buybacks or burning of tokens?
Linh: Wen Lambo will use ORAI and AIRI in-game for different purposes, ORAI will be for all transactions made on Oraichain, AIRI will be in-game token for racing entries and soon will be the payment for NFT purchasing on aiRight marketplace. AIRI and ORAI holders will also have the opportunity to whitelist for the aiKey presale (Round 2+3). In addition, these holders will receive aiRight Formula FE vehicles that can be used in free races or sold on the secondary market.
16, What are the utilities of RaceX tokens?
DCRC Racing: $RaceX token obviously the utility token for our game — will be used to play/earn /upgrade the aesthetics or abilities of vehicles!
