These days Airim is helping businesses build a sincere FAQ strategy to optimise their inbound lead traffic. This involves a lot of personal interactions with several of our beta enterprise clients.

In a casual conversation a few days ago, one of these clients asked us this question:

“You use Airim on your website yourself, right? What is your conversion rate?”

To clarify, the term “conversion rate” here implies the percentage of people who signed up for our service after landing up on our website.

Conventional knowledge tells us that that 2–3% is a normal rate to have. If 5% of your website visitors end up signing up for your SaaS, you are moderately successful. If you add Airim on your site, it jumps by 2–3% more. So on our own website, we should be expecting atleast 8%. Any figure lesser than that would make people doubt our credibility.

I had my laptop in front of me, so I fired up Heap and opened Airim.co’s signup funnel report. There were atleast ten eyeballs curious to see the numbers, and I was praying that they better be good.

The report opened. And there was the graph for last 30 days.

The conversion rate was 11.04%

Almost double of what I was expecting to be good enough.

It was an enthralling moment! Not just for me, but for everyone watching it.

Retaining this momentum will be a challenge. So here is what I plan to do over the next few weeks.

I will share our conversion rate every week by editing this post. I expect the figures to go lower over time as a lot of non-targeted audience will start coming to our website once we move out of beta and start some publicity. However, my aim is to never go below 8%.

So here we go with the weekly update:

Dec 12, 2017: 10.9%
