AirMiners: The Index of Companies and Projects Mining Carbon from the Air
“There’s nowhere you can get a comprehensive view of everything going on in carbon sequestration — until now”
An Economic Approach to Carbon
We’re pleased to introduce AirMiners (http://airminers.org).
The goal of AirMiners is to unleash opportunities to mine excess carbon dioxide from the air, driven by economics. AirMiners is for carbon entrepreneurs, scientists, and financiers to search for opportunities, make connections, and spark new ideas.
A Growing Index
The AirMiners index is built to grow. We strive for it to be a comprehensive source, and for that we need your help. Whether it’s your company, a company you admire, or a project you just heard about you want to share, please add a profile here.
User Driven Design
AirMiners wouldn’t exist without all of our supporters, friends, and especially early users who put up with all our questions. Special thanks to the following people who were instrumental in our design thinking process. Their feedback helped us immensely. In the order we interviewed them:
- Frank Morton, National Carbon Capture Center
- Christophe Jospe, Carbon A List
- Mary Biswal, Sustainable Silicon Valley
- Marie-Noëlle Keijzer, WeForest
- David Addison, $25M Virgin Earth Challenge
- Noah Deich, The Center for Carbon Removal
- Hendrik Tiesinga, CalCEF and the New Energy Nexus
- Katy Armstrong, CO2Chem (Carbon Dioxide Utilization Network)
- Bernard David, The Global CO2 Initiative
- Jennifer Childs, Rocky Mountain Institute
New Carbon Companies in Your Inbox
As the index grows, you want to find out about the latest and greatest. We’re experimenting with sending out an email update whenever a new company is or project added. Sign up for new companies on the AirMiners homepage.
We seek your questions, comments, and ideas on this endeavor. Please contact us.
