Firebase, Google Play Services and Android support updates have been our focus this month. However we have run into some blocking issues that we are working with the Harman AIR team to resolve so unfortunately this is still in development currently.

However the big release this month is for the Windows Store ANE.

Windows Store

Last year we worked closely with a client to develop an ANE to access in-app purchases from a Windows 10 UWP application through the Windows Store.

Now we are excited to announce this ANE is now available through our site to anyone who needs to monetise their UWP application by using in-app purchases.

This extension provides the ability to retrieve product information, get active purchases and make purchases of consumable, non-consumable and durable products. Additionally you can retrieve a users’ token to validate purchases from your server (though be warned this is a difficult process).

In-App Billing

This month we have introduced iOS introductory offers and purchase discounts to the InAppBilling ANE.

  • Introductory Offers allow you to offer introductory pricing for auto-renewable subscriptions to eligible users;
  • Purchase discounts allow you to offer discounted pricing for auto-renewable subscription products to eligible subscribers.

Apps with auto-renewable subscriptions can offer a discounted introductory price, including a free trial, to eligible users. You can make introductory offers to customers who haven’t previously received an introductory offer for the given product, or for any products in the same subscription group.

Purchase discounts can be effective in winning back lapsed subscribers or retaining current subscribers. You can provide lapsed or current subscribers a limited-time offer of a discounted or free period of service for auto-renewable subscriptions.

This functionality is all available in the latest In-App Billing release.

CameraRoll Extended

The Camera Roll Extended ANE has had a big update for Android, bringing the iOS features implemented earlier this year across to Android including the new Assets functionality. Additionally several crashes that we occurring with the legacy functionality have been resolved.

Happy to help.
