Airfam, we have some exciting news. We’ve launched a big feature that’s going to change what it means to be an Airtimer.
We’ve always known that life is best when it’s lived in real-time, with the people who matter most. That’s why Airtime is a place for you to share your worlds with one another, face-to-face, through the videos you love. The people who get the most out of our app are groups of friends who join together. Airtime is best when it’s used to make real friendships realer, to make togetherness together-er.
Spending time together, live, makes friendships stronger than time spent just reading their words. Following isn’t friendship. You can’t measure a bond by counting the likes or comments or streaks a person collects. It’s nothing compared to actually being there when your best friend needs help cramming for a test, wants to watch highlights from last night’s game, or finally sees the Taylor Swift goat remix for the first time.
Airtime is a place to be yourself with your most trusted friends, which is why, starting today, it’s invite-only.

For most of you, how you use Airtime will stay exactly the same. Once you’re in, you’re in. You already watch videos with your best friends, so just keep doing that.
But what if you know someone who wants to join Airtime? No problem: each Airtimer gets a randomly-generated invite code good for bringing five of your friends on board. Our experience is for you and your closest friends, so think of it as an invite to a perfectly-curated movie night.
Why did we make the change? It’s simple: your close friends are the most exclusive group in the world. We added this feature to keep your private online spaces safe and fun as more people watch videos with their friends on Airtime.
