Crypto is booming. After loads of hard work it’s found a place among stocks, fiat currencies, bonds, and the other similar-to-security offerings. Hat’s off to Crypto.

However, there’s one big problem. The developing world wants in, or out, and they can’t seem to have a safe, reliable and fair market valued means of doing so. The issue — first and last mile access — how do I transfer funds in my bank account into cryptocurrency, how do I sell my cryptocurrency for money I can use to pay my rent?

Enter the little floating cloud above you, AirTM — A USD wallet connecting local currency to cryptocurrency via a peer-to-peer network of buyers and sellers.

At AirTM, we refer to these peers as AirTM Cashiers — professional, accountable, reliable individuals and businesses who know the dynamic landscape of cycling money throughout various cryptocurrency networks to balance their USD in AirTM with their 3rd party wallets. These cashiers are a fleet of on-demand buyers and sellers on the other end of our AirTM clients, summoned to execute a client’s request at the current market rate.

To buy and sell cryptocurrency using AirTM’s cashier network, you can create an account at AirTM.com, then request a deposit with the payment method of your choosing (bank or e-money).

Deposit tile in your AirTM dashboard.

Upon issuing your request, our network of cashiers standing by will accept your request, exchanging their USD held in AirTM for value in your selected payment method:

Client sends bank money to cashier, cashier sends USD to client.

Once you have a USD balance in your AirTM account, you can then withdraw as the cryptocurrency of your choosing.

Withdraw tile in your AirTM dashboard.

Currently our cashier network supports deposits and withdrawals (they buy and sell) Zcash, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ethereum, Tether and Ripple.

Once you submit your withdrawal request, you will again be matched with a cashier who holds a Zcash balance in a third party wallet. Your cashier will send Zcash to your indicated Zcash address tied to the wallet of your choosing (I have been using Jaxx).

Cashier sends crypto to client, client sends USD to cashier.

Upon the Zcash arriving to your address, you will need to go back to your Zcash withdrawal transaction in AirTM and confirm the receipt of funds, releasing the USD to your cashier.

This process is reversed when pursued depositing to your AirTM account using Zcash — sell your Zcash to an AirTM cashier for USD in AirTM, withdraw to your local bank or e-money account.

During this entire process, any of your cryptocurrency funds will be in your control at all times as you determine where those funds rest. Additionally, any USD in AirTM is transferred to an escrow account in the recipient of the off-platform funds (in this case crypto) name upon cashier acceptance of a client request, providing clients and cashiers with the framework needed to insure the USD they are to receive exists.

Here at AirTM we like to think of different types of value in terms of their value networks — where forms of value are connected and accepted. AirTM’s goal is to allow anyone, regardless of where they live or what type of money they hold, to have a means to free this value. Cryptocurrency access is just one of many value networks AirTM connects via our cashier network, and we continually add new networks (see below the clouds).

If interested in joining our cashier network — you can apply in the top navigation bar in your AirTM client dashboard. If you have any questions about the deposit/withdrawal process stated above, interest in other ways to use AirTM to free your money, or make money as a cashier, you can drop me a line at josh@airtm.com.

Saludos,
