10 Easy Steps to verify Facebook Business Manager Id for Whatsapp Business API
Facebook Business Verification allows you to verify that a Facebook Business Manager account is owned by a specific business.
To verify your business, be prepared to provide the following information:
- Legal details of your business (business name, address, contact info)
- Legal document with the name of the business and address for verification, preferably Bank Account Statement or GST.
- A working website of your Business.
- Proof of access to the business, Business receives a phone call/text or email, domain verification, etc.

How to apply for Facebook verification?
Step 1: Go to Facebook Business Manager (https://business.facebook.com)
Step 2: If you already have a business, select the business account. If you do not have a Facebook Business Manager account, you can create one by visiting https://business.facebook.com/create
Step 3: On the left side, click on the ‘Business Settings’ option
Step 4: From the ‘Business Settings’ page, go to ‘Security Center’ on the left side. https://business.facebook.com/settings/security
Step 5: Click on the ‘Start Verification’ button.
Hack Note: If the ‘Start Verification’ button is greyed/disabled (like the image above), you must follow some steps to enable it.
5.1 Click on Apps — -> Create a new App id
5.2 Choose any of the options(Business, Marketer) from the next pop-up and click ‘Continue‘
5.3 Add your app name, email address, purpose. Choose your Facebook Business account from the dropdown (this is important). Click on ‘Create App‘
Step 5.4: You’re done. You can come back to the Facebook Business Manager. Go to Security Center and the ‘Start Verification’ button shall be enabled (Do refresh the window)
Step 6: Fill in your Business Details on the next form that appears on the screen.
Step 7: After filling in the details, upload your documents for Business Legal name and address verification, Bank Account Statements and GST/Registration Certificate are preferred.
If you have your bank account Statement, you can upload just that on both steps.
Step 8: In the last step, add your official email id with your company’s domain name and you’ll receive an OTP. Fill in the OTP in the column and your work here is done.
How long does Facebook take to verify?
If you receive confirmation that your business is verified, Congratulations, you are now Verified! You may not receive confirmation right away. If you don’t receive confirmation right away, you’ll receive a notification when the review is complete. It might take 1–5 business days to get a reply back from Facebook.
If everything goes with the Facebook policies, your business manager will get approved. You can also check your status in Security Center.

What are the common reasons for the rejection of Facebook business verification?
