Maria & Milind
“For me, it was very important that I can make my woman laugh. I was skeptical in the beginning, thinking if she would understand my jokes since we have totally different lifestyles.” Hailing from different countries, Milind didn’t think he would find someone who’d perfectly match his idea of a perfect woman.“I am an Indian and Maria is Russian and we were told about Aisle by our friends,” says Milind.
Milind is a software engineer and Maria is into finance and administration. The fact that they were in the same city, Copenhagen and had similar interests, like she was into fitness and movies made Milind sent her an Invite.
It’s been two months since they started dating. “We both are single parents and have kids of the same age and both of our kids speak the same language, Danish and play the same video games. And have pretty much same upbringing in the Danish culture” Milind adds.
Their first date was pretty casual. They went sightseeing in the forest near Copenhagen and ended up having regular coffee and hotdog. But they both said no milk, no sugar and no plastic glass. That for Milind was a sign of a match.
He recalls, “I always imagined my woman to wake up early and active in fitness. And Maria was exactly that. She wakes up at 6.30 in the morning and is regular at the gym. She is also thoughtful about the planet, which I’ve also recently become interested in. She wears organic clothes. She makes me write full words in the chat instead of short forms. She motivates me to be super polite by saying “please” all the time. She gives back and head massages, along with cute Russian words her grandmother taught her. I immediately fell in love with that. She watched the second season of Sacred Games with me with English subtitles. She loves Friends, loves movies and always suggests the right one. She corrects my pronunciations and not even once it hurt my ego. For a man, it’s a big deal if he keeps the ego aside.”
For Milind, Maria is by far the only woman he has met who plays ‘Age of Empires’ and he is crazy about the game too. “I don’t know what is an official proposal means. But yes, we discussed if we should be exclusive a month and a half back. We both got positive vibes from each other.” When asked about the future Milind says, “Well, we are not usual Indian couple where parents have to approve. So we just told them that we are seeing each other. Though I feel, the real questions will arise when we plan to meet each other’s family.”
Aisle wishes Maria and Milind a lifetime of happiness and love!
