“I loved what she had written in her story. She wrote that she is a good listener and someone who makes one smile in her company,” says Anup, about his fiancee, Nisha.

Nisha had been on Aisle for a while and had made a few connections that went nowhere. When she saw Anup’s message in December 2015, she thought he seemed interesting and decided to give it another shot.

“What struck me was that she spoke about what she could bring to a relationship and not just about herself. You don’t see many people like that. She also said that she was passionate about travelling. I felt she will complete me,” says Anup.

Nisha lives in Hyderabad, and Anup in Gurgaon. While they began speaking, the distance didn’t seem to matter much as they got on well with each other.

A few months later, in February 2016, Nisha flew down to Gurgaon where she first met Anup. The meeting went well but when Nisha returned to Hyderabad, they began to feel the distance take a toll on them.

“We were still connected, but drifting. Being in two different cities was definitely not helping,” says Nisha.

Although they kept in touch for a while, as the months went by it began to look like there was nothing in store for the both of them together. So eventually, the communication came to a halt. But Anup was not ready to give up so soon. In August, he sent her a message asking her how she was doing.

“I had strong feelings for Anup and was quite disappointed when it didn’t work out the way we had hoped. When he messaged me again, I was ready to give it another shot!” says Nisha.

This time around, the relationship bloomed. Nisha flew down to Gurgaon often, Anup visited Hyderabad a couple of times, and Nisha made sure to drag Anup outdoors including to Hampi and Mc Leod Ganj. They met every month, getting out of their comfort zones and trying to see the world through each other’s eyes.

“We first came from different spaces, each with our own set of experiences and ways of seeing things. The second time around, we saw that the only things that matter in the long run is how we can love and care for each other,” says Anup.

“Both of us gave each other the respect and space to speak our minds and be heard. He breaks things down logically and makes arguments difficult to counter (sometimes, it’s frustrating). He’s a great listener as well!” says Nisha.

Anup and Nisha come from similar backgrounds, with both their families hailing from Kerala. So when they proposed the idea of each other to their families, well, that was the end of their courtship and the start of the next journey!

The couple got engaged in August and are to tie the knot in December this year, two years from when their love story began!

“I’m restless and always on the edge. I appear to be composed but I am not! He is my calm. He is the ship, and I am the sailor!” says Nisha.

“I am completely at ease around her. It just feels like home!” says Anup.

Nisha will be moving to Gurgaon after the wedding. They are both excitedly looking forward to the move in and beginning their lives together.

Team Aisle congratulates and wishes Nisha and Anup a lifetime of happiness together.
