“I had no invites to send her “, says Vasu recounting that evening.

“I saw that he viewed my profile and I was pretty skeptical, yet I decided to send him an invite” confirmed a beaming Seema.

And so it began, a magical journey that is soon to be transformed into a bond of a lifetime.

They both shudder at the thought of this serendipity taking any other course.

Meet Seema and Vasu, two individuals who were on Aisle to find a match for a lifetime as their families required that they settle down. Both of them didn’t have their hopes high in finding their partners on an app and yet, destiny had something entirely different in mind for them.

Seema is an independent fashion designer who is setting up her business in Bangalore. She definitely didn’t want a relationship to bog down her aspirations. But when Vasu happened to her, she describes the feeling to be one that is similar to a butterfly evolving and finding it’s own wings. Vasu can be best described as her support system through her way up in her career.

Vasu is from Vizag and works as an Account Manager at a leading startup in Bangalore. According to Vasu, the reason to join Aisle can be attributed to his parents will to have him settle down. But Seema came into his life like an unexpected whiff of fresh air.

The spark

No sooner had they matched on Aisle that they moved the conversation to whatsapp and finally over call. One of their quirky common points is that they both hate text messaging and would rather pick the phone up and make a call, and if you can convert that into a meeting even better.

Though, when Seema added Vasu, she was pretty startled to receive a call from him that very evening. What do you know, Vasu was already half way through convincing her to meet him the very next day! Though Seema was unsure, she knew she needed to accept the invite in order to not waste each others time. Vasu had only one thing in his head. He was like, “ here’s a woman I think I like and I don’t want to talk on the phone and wait to figure it out.” He wanted to meet her, see how she carries herself and put a personality to the face he was interested in.

Thankfully, all this worked wonderfully because ever since then there has not been a single day they haven’t spoken to each other or met each other whenever time permits.

Seema’s moment was the first weekend when over a drink she was introduced to Vasu’s caring and protective side. He made sure he introduced her to his circle and she was overwhelmed by the lengths he was already going to secure this relationship.

They have a common interest for travelling, adventure activities and trying out new restaurants in the city.

“We hardly go to the same destination twice”, says Seema proudly.

Now a month into their courtship, they knew this was it. So Vasu asked Seema for her parent’s number.

“That was his way of asking me to marry him, no conventional going down on the knee drama”, she laughs.

And soon, the wheels were rolling. Parents met and the dates were set, quite easily. Vasu’s parents had a love marriage too and they very well resonate with the idea. Seema’s parents being the liberal kind fell in love with the eligible bachelor from a different background quite easily as well.

“So smooth!” they both exclaim.

She is ambitious and yet grounded. He is the traditional yet modern. And here’s a couple unlike any other only because of the no fuss romance they have been a part of. They cannot go a day without talking and they never run out of topics to talk about.

This wonderful couple is so into each other that we’d want to cast aside Romeo and Juliet or Mumtaz and Shahjahan aside to make way for the two regular individuals who found love and took it places.

To quote Vasu, ‘No decision is right or wrong, it’s on your hands to make it right and the day I met Seema, I decided to make this one a Right’.

Their life goals are plenty like how Seema wants to get acquainted to football for his love for the sport but our favourite is their desire to take each other to places they love. Infact Seema is already planning a trip for her man to Scotland.

“Love and marriage will always be a work in progress”, says an ecstatic Seema, “we are going to learn something new about each other everyday. That’s where the fun is!”
