Another hike to Mont Ste.-Victoire! It makes me wish that Minnesota had better opportunities for hiking. Like, you know, mountains. This time we went with our French friend and explored the Plateau de Bibémus trail, which started from Le Tholonet. As you’ll recall, we’ve done a path from there before. The last time we started there, we also wanted to do the Plateau de Bibémus, but there was construction going on, so we had to choose a different path. This time, there was still construction, but we decided to just slip around the road blocks and go for it anyway!

It was a really nice day out, so I’m glad we got to the mountain. We again saw the Barrage Zola, the lake, and tons of rocks and trees. We’re starting to get a hang of this hiking thing, I think. We were mostly quiet as we climbed up the trail, but once we got to the top, we talked about all kinds of things; sports, family, travel, our upcoming trip to Morocco. It was fun to be out in nature and just have a relaxing day.

This time, we walked by the carrière de Bibémus, which is a quarry. We peaked over the fence, but we were not able to go inside. Our friend pointed out some scratches on the trees which could have been from the boars in the area. We kept walking, and eventually made it back to the beginning of the path that we had done the first time we came to Le Tholonet (by the Moulin de Cézanne). We got a drink together at a little cafe, and had a generally pleasant day.
