Game Center owners have become the first people to receive AKV tokens, now that our inaugural AKV airdrop is complete.
We’re rewarding everyone who has bought a Game Center in the early stages of Akiverse with several benefits. Our AKV Airdrops for Game Center owners are one of the main rewards.
What makes the AKV Airdrops such a valuable reward, I hear you ask? In this article, we’ll talk about the AKV token and cover everything you need to know about the AKV Airdrops.
What is the Akiverse AKV token and why should you hold it?
AKV is the Governance Token for Akiverse. It is an ERC-20 token representing the value of the Akiverse arcade universe gaming platform.
AKV holders will receive a proportion of the revenue made on the Akiverse gaming platform, staking bonuses and LP farming bonuses. Holders will also have the ability to participate in key governance votes for Akiverse.
AKV is required for the Arcade Machine Crafting process, and can also be won when players achieve high rankings in gameplay.
AKV will be released gradually to the market as part of our public sale, staking bonuses and LP farming bonuses scheduled for later in 2022 (TBA). All AKV allocated for the team, advisors and during our seed and private sale is subject to lock-up periods following exchange listings. By holding the AKV received from our AKV Airdrops, you will be eligible for all of the above benefits. We are still in the early stages of the project, and more benefits will be unlocked as we approach the launch of Akiverse and beyond.
The First AKV Airdrop to Game Center Owners is Complete!
All Game Center owners were airdropped AKV tokens as part of our first AKV Airdrop on 26th March 2022.
We airdropped a total of 15,800 AKV to Game Center owners, as shown in the table below:
If you held a Game Center in your wallet on 26th March 2022, then you will have received AKV according to the type and number of Game Centers that you hold.
Future AKV Airdrop Distributions
Game Center owners will receive the following monthly AKV Airdrops leading up to the official launch of Akiverse:
As AKV Airdrops happen each month, the longer you hold your Game Center leading up to the Akiverse launch, the more AKV you will earn.
AKV Airdrops will be distributed on different dates each month, which will be random and not published. As long as you hold a Game Center on the day that we conduct a scan of Game Center owners’ wallets, you will be eligible to receive AKV airdrops. We will make an announcement to the community once the airdrops are complete.
The table below shows what Game Center owners can expect to receive, by holding a Game Center for the rest of 2022. AKV Airdrops will be received from March — December 2022 and beyond, until the official launch of Akiverse.
How to Get AKV Before our Public Sale
Aside from investing in our Private Sale to obtain an AKV allocation (minimum investment of USD$100K), the only way to get AKV in your wallet before our Public Sale is to buy a Game Center.
As all Private and Seed allocations are locked up, Game Center owners have now become the first people to hold AKV in their wallets!
By purchasing a Game Center NFT in one of our Game Center Sales, you will become eligible to receive AKV Airdrops in your wallet. All you need to do is buy a Game Center, and hold onto it to receive monthly AKV Airdrops.
How to Add the AKV Token to Metamask
As the AKV token contract has only recently been deployed, and Game Center owners are the first to receive AKV, you’ll need to add the AKV token to your wallet to view the balance.
We are utilizing the Polygon network for our Game Center NFTs and the AKV token, to increase the speed and cost-effectiveness of transactions. Once you have the Polygon network added to your Metamask wallet, these are the steps to follow to add AKV to Metamask.
Step 1 — Select the Polygon Network
First, you’ll need to click the drop-down box next to your wallet icon and click on Polygon to select the Polygon Network.
Step 2 — Select Import Tokens
Next, you’ll see a list of the tokens that you already have added to your Polygon wallet. To add a new token click on the Import Tokens link at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3 — Enter Contract Data to Add Custom Token
Now you’ll need to enter the contract data for AKV to add it as a custom token.
This is the Token Contract Address for AKV to enter into the form:

Once you’ve entered this into the form click the Add Custom Token button.
Step 4 — Confirm AKV Token Import
A screen will display confirming that you want to import the AKV token. Click on the Import Tokens button at the bottom of the screen.
Step 5 — Check AKV Has Been Added to Complete the Process
Once you return to the home screen for your Polygon wallet, you will now see all of the available tokens in your wallet. If you can see AKV on this screen then the process is now complete and AKV has been added to your Metamask wallet.
