There are many ways to play-and-earn in Akiverse. You can play arcade games and win to earn, craft NFT Arcade Machines and share in players’ winnings or run your own Game Center that offers Arcade Machines to players. Akiverse NFT Game Centers are the highest income-generating assets in Akiverse. In this article, we explain what they are and how you can make money by owning one.
What is an NFT Game Center?
A Game Center is a space where Arcade Machines are set up for players to play games. Akiverse Game Centers are NFTs that work like land in other GameFi worlds. Each Game Center is represented by a unique ERC-721 token. Owning a Game Center NFT allows you to run your own Game Center to earn money.
How Can I Make Money With a Game Center?
Game Centers in Akiverse work the same way they do in the real world, but instead of renting out space in a building, paying for staff to run the center and electricity to run the Arcade Machines, all you have to do is own the NFT Game Center and promote it to players to play games.
As the owner of the Game Center, there are two main ways to make money. The first way to make money is to buy your own Arcade Machines, install them in the Game Center, and take a share in players’ winnings. The second way to make money is to rent out space to owners of Arcade Machines by making an agreement for rental rates. For example, a Game Center owner may charge an Arcade Machine owner 100 AKIR per hour to rent out the space.

The best reason to buy a Game Center early is to be eligible for Akiverse AKV Airdrops, that will be distributed leading up to the launch.
Akiverse AKV Airdrops
The AKV token is an ERC-20 token used as the Governance token in Akiverse.
AKV holders will receive a proportion of the revenue of the Akiverse platform, staking bonuses and LP farming bonuses. Holders will also be able to participate in key governance votes for Akiverse.
The AKV contract is almost ready for deployment (due in early March)(Update: the AKV contract is now deployed!), and Game Center owners will be some of the first people to receive an AKV allocation for holding Game Centers.
The Akiverse AKV Airdrop is by far the best reason to buy a Game Center now, rather than waiting until launch. Here’s what you’ll get each month that you hold a Game Center:
Large Game Center — 320 AKV
Medium Game Center — 80 AKV
Small Game Center — 20 AKV
AKV Airdrops will occur each month, so the longer you hold your Game Center leading up to the Akiverse launch, the more AKV you will earn.

Game Centers come in 3 sizes: large, medium, and small.
The larger your Game Center, the more Arcade Machines that can be installed inside it, and the more opportunities to earn revenue you will have. You can fit this many Arcade Machines inside each type of Game Center:
Small — 4 Arcade Machines
Medium — 16 Arcade Machines
Large — 64 Arcade Machines
There are 3 main variables to consider when choosing what size Game Center is right for you:
- Number of Arcade Machines that can be installed
- Amount of AKIR required for installation per Arcade Machine
- Supply volume
A large size Game Center is the most scarce type of Game Center, which will allow you to install many Arcade Machines for a cheap rate per machine.
