Scam Warning! Fake Game Center NFTs Found on OpenSea

A warning and reminder to check the official contract address before purchasing Akiverse Game Center NFTs (or any other NFT)
Beware of Fake Game Center NFTs on OpenSea
While preparing for our upcoming Game Center NFT drop on 10th August, we were reviewing the GC collection on OpenSea and found that a fake collection has been added to the marketplace.
We’re flattered that someone thinks our NFTs are good enough to copy, but we don’t want anyone getting scammed!
When searching for Akiverse Game Centers, 2 different search results appear. The genuine collection is the one with 433 items and the fake one is the one with 6 items. We’ve reported the fake collection to OpenSea.
Fake Game Center Collection Appeared in Search Results
The best way to make sure that you’re looking at the official collection is to confirm the contract address. The Akiverse Game Center NFT Polygon contract address is: 0x2Dd6E7c773ec931719b1929Ab8B4Ed1E95776036
Clicking the Polygon icon on the official collection page (or this link: Akiverse Game Center NFT Polygonscan) will take you to Polygonscan where you can see all of the activity associated with the address. The fake collection doesn’t have this icon available to click.

When you are ready to buy a Game Center, you can click through to the individual Game Center’s page in the collection and then click on the Details tab on the left hand side to verify the contract address.

Our Akiverse Game Center NFTs are also listed on tofuNFT, where we will be holding our upcoming auction. When on the page for an individual Game Center, you can click on the Info tab on the right hand side of the page to view the contract address for the NFT and make sure it is the genuine address.
