We’ve Answered Your Game Center and Akiverse FAQs
Here are the answers to 11 of the most frequent questions that we’ve received from the Akiverse community
FAQ About Akiverse Game Center NFTs
Q: Why have the GC NFT prices increased?
A: GC NFT prices have been increasing since our first NFT pre-sale. Since the 3rd pre-sale additional value has been added to GC NFTs by requiring Arcade Machine Activation inside Game Centers. Previously, Arcade Machines could be played by owners outside of Game Centers or installed in Game Centers for everyone to play. Now they must be installed in a Game Center to be activated and available for gameplay, which greatly increases the demand for Game Center space and the utility of Game Center NFTs. We simulated prospective token prices and the rewards available to NFT owners and players to determine what we think is a reasonable price for GC NFTs.
Q: What makes GC NFTs valuable?
A: GC NFT holders are eligible for many benefits and rewards that make the NFTs valuable. The most important feature is the ability to earn rent in $AKIR by renting out space in GCs to AM owners, who will need to install their machines inside GCs to be activated.
They will be granted exclusive access to Akiverse Alpha and have the chance to earn rewards by testing the game platform. As well as this they will receive AKV airdrops until the official launch and other NFT holder community benefits.
Q: How many Arcade Machines can be installed in a Game Center?
A: Just like an IRL Game Center, the size of the GC determines how many AMs can be installed. A Small GC has enough space for 4 AMs while a Medium can fit 16 and a Large a whopping 64 AMs. The more AMs that are installed, the more $AKIR rent rewards that can be earned.
Q: How many Game Centers will be sold (total)?
A: There isn’t a definite number of Game Center NFTs because if we do set a certain amount of Game Centers, that would mean setting a limit to the number of users that can come and play in Akiverse.
General FAQ About Akiverse
Q: When can we play Akiverse arcade games?
A: We are starting with our Alpha release, which will only be open to GC NFT holders. Alpha will be opening very soon, so stay tuned for an announcement in the next few days! After that we will be releasing Akiverse Beta followed by the official launch of the platform scheduled for Q1 2023.
Q: Is Akiverse a play-to-earn project?
A: We prefer to refer to our game platform as a play-and-earn platform. Our main priority is for players to enjoy the gaming experience. We want players to play for entertainment first and earn rewards as bonuses along the way. Akiverse is free-to-play for players who want the play-and-earn experience, or you can level up as an NFT owner and enjoy the craft-to-earn and rent-to-earn experience. There are essentially 2 levels of gaming at play in Akiverse, one for arcade game players and the other for NFT owners.
Q: Are you building the games in-house or will the games be built by third parties?
A: Both. Some of the games will be built in-house but others will be built by 3rd parties. Our SDK for game developers is called ODEN-CAN. It will allow developers to participate in our reward-sharing model by building games for the Akiverse gaming platform.
Q: How many arcade games will we be able to play in Akiverse?
A: Alpha will start with 3 game titles. We’re planning to release 2 game titles each month once Akiverse is officially launched. We have a pipeline of games in development to release during the first year of Akiverse.
Q: What kind of arcade games can we expect?
A: Akiverse arcade games will be fun and fast mobile games that can be played casually. We’re targeting 3–5 minutes of gameplay so players can fit games into their busy days. The games will be ranking and level games in which players can progress, and will emphasise non-verbal gameplay to make Akiverse ultra-accessible.
Q: How can Akiverse grow and maintain the value of its platform?
A: The engine of the Akiverse ecosystem is the Craft System, which creates value and maintains a balanced token and NFT supply to provide a sustainable economy. In the craft system, players create Arcade Machines by assembling Arcade Parts and paying a crafting fee in $AKV and $AKIR.
The Craft System is a scalable ecosystem model that can be applied to diverse entertainment experiences to expand Akiverse exponentially beyond our arcade universe.
Q: Are you hiring?
A: Akiverse has a global team spanning game and blockchain developers, designers, marketing and business development. We are looking for talented people to collaborate with and to work with the team. You can open up a support ticket through Discord if you or someone you know might be a good fit for the team.
