Hello, aKoma folks.

Please indulge me as I would like to share some of our latest and greatest news with you.

Last week, we officially announced the public unveiling of aKoma. You have been gracious enough to follow us on Medium and read our publication which has been awesome. Our big vision though, has always been to create a content ecosphere and storytelling communuty that is singularly focused on Mama Africa and all her children, one that is fearless in providing every single person who is a child or friend of Africa the medium to showcase their Africa and that sweet flavor of the continent that is rarely given the day of light.

In addition, we are starting a content and media fellowship program in partnership with MasterCard Foundation, and I would encourage you to check it out and see if it is something you might be interested in.

I hope that we can be graced by the privilege of having you join, create, debate, collaborate and participate on aKo.ma. Even stories you have created on platforms like your personal blog or Medium are welcome and will find a grateful home on aKoma. We will continue to publish stories here on Medium, our heart and soul will be at akomanet.com.
