Our team had another opportunity to present the ALAX project and its Roadmap at the prestigious summit that took place in our base city — Hong Kong, today on May 9. This time we really didn’t have to go that far away, as some of you may know, ALAX has an office in Cyberport — a Hong Kong business park and home to the technological and digital community, including startups. Cyberport was also one of the co-hosts of this event together with NexChange, the world’s leading social platform connecting professionals to finance and innovation.
Since its launch in 2016, the Fintech O2O Global Summit has doubled in size and became one of the most prestigious Asian gatherings for innovators, investors and speakers, including experts from Google, Bucket Technologies, Mindbridge Ai, Prudential, Graphen.AI, Santander and other professionals from over 30 countries. In other words, the important individuals and fintech leaders making the decisions that are transforming financial services.
Our own Co-Founder, Matej Michalko who is also the CEO of DECENT, took part at The Global Summit and presented the “Innovation Case Study: DECENT”, with a section dedicated to how ALAX uses DECENT’s DCore blockchain in order to transform the mobile gaming industry around the world and bring games to everyone including people that are unbanked.

Following those challenging needs for innovations and blockchain implementation, the agenda covered diverse topics such as AI, Cybersecurity, Consumer finance and blockchain, Open banking, InsurTech, RegTech & SupTech. But this event was not just about the talks. Organizers of the Fintech O2O Global Summit 2018 also created a site called Marketplace: The Investors’ Stage, for investors and startups to build international connections and expand their thinking in the fintech sphere. At the end of the day, global leaders moved on to bars, cafes, and restaurants to carry on the fintech discussions in a more informal setting.
