Dear ALAX supporters!
We guess many of you are familiar with the well-known blockchain platform — Ethereum. But have you heard about DCore? Those who’ve been following us for a while may know that DCore is a blockchain platform developed by DECENT, a company which, together with Dragonfly, co-founded ALAX — a digital content-oriented blockchain with fundamental support of purchase and distribution of digital assets such as mobile games — but it doesn’t end there! There are numerous use cases of this powerful platform that are going to be demonstrated during DECENT’s Blockchain Pioneers Hackathon 2018, the first of a global series that will start in Bratislava and continue to cities like Berlin and Shanghai.
The slogan sums it up quite nicely — “Develop a solution and win up to 20,000 DCT in just 1 day!” And how will this work? Teams of 2 to 5 people can register their use case idea (or the DECENT team will come up with one for them) in line with the themes: Enterprise — projects improving operational efficiency, and Transformation — projects enabling business model innovation. Subsequently, teams will have a chance to hack, learn, meet the innovators, entrepreneurs and domain experts. When all is said and done, they will pitch their project in front of the DECENT committee and event partners who will judge the conceptions for their viability and impact.
The best crew of this Slovak round will compete with the winners from other cities and possibly get mentorship and a collaboration opportunity with DECENT, as well. The absolute winners might see their solution being developed on DCore! That is probably the most exciting outcome of this event — for the winners to have their project come to life!
The series kicks off on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 2 PM (GMT+2) in the city of DECENT’s headquarters, Bratislava, Slovakia and is co-hosted by 0100 Campus, an internationally recognized coworking space and avid supporter of innovative technologies. For competitors, as well as for the audience, there will be plenty of workshops and networking activities during the event, which will reach its grand finale by announcing the winners on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 7:30 PM (GMT+2).
The best companies in the world are paying thousands of dollars as a reward for finding a bug in their systems. We, at ALAX, truly believe that this manner of competition can push the DCore blockchain technology forward and show its benefits and viable applications to the public.
