Sondre Moen back to competition in BOclassic
BOCLASSIC 2017: MUKTAR EDRIS VS KAAN KIGEN OZBILEN VS SONDRE MOEN
Athletes of 15 nations will be in Bolzano on 31st December for 43th edition of BOclassic,international road race of 5k women and 10k men.Elite athletes manager Gianni DeMadonna has done for another year an excellent job creating one of the most ever exciting fields in men and women.
A marvellous trio will lead men race. BOclassic is proud to host Sondre Nordstadt Moen (Nor) back in competition on its roads.New European record holder of marathon by winning 2h05.48 Fukuoka Marathon last 3rd December ,Sondre Moen is also first european to run marathon under 2h06 and 59.47 in halfmarathon in Valencia last October: second fastest ever european after Mo Farah.
His best contender will be Muktar Edris (Eth) reigning world champion in London on 5000m after defeating legendary Mo Farah. With 12.55.23 ethiopian is world leader on 5000m and n.1 in All-Athletics ranking on same distance.Muktar Edris also defending champion of BOclassic being last year winner.
Third big name will be Kaan Kigen Ozbilen (Tur) new European CrossCountry Champ two weeks ago in Samorin. 2h06.10 and 59.58 his PB on marathon and halfamarathon and silver medal in Eurochamps in Amsterdam on halfmarathon.
European silver medallist on 10000m in 2014 Andy Vernon (Gbr) and Homiyu Tesfaye (Ger) 3.31.98 PB on 1500m will be other top international contenders.
Italy will be represented by Yemaneberhan Crippa recent bronze medal in u23 eurocross and exciting winner on 5000m last summer in Eurochamps u23.After a long period injured,will be back in competition former eurocross champ Andrea Lalli (ITA).
AGNES TIROP VS MARGARETH CHELIMO VS DESIREE LINDEN
World bronze medal on 10000m this summer in London2017 and defending champion in BOClassic,Agnes Tirop (Ken) will be back in Bolzano to prepare new season,Second in All-Athletics ranking on 10000m,she improved her PB this year to 31.03.50 and 14.33.09 on 10000m and 5000m.
Margareth Chelimo Kipkemboi (Ken) will be her best contender after a big improvement this year with her new PB in 8.30.11 on 3000m and 14.32.82 on 5000m as fifth placed in London2017 on 5000m.
Staff of BOclassic is so proud to give welcome to Desiree Linden (USA) the first american woman athlete who will compete in Bolzano.Five times winner of MajorsMarathons as NewYork,Chicago and Boston,She has a pb of 2h25.55 .
From Great Britain, we have the pleasure to announce Emelia Gorecka,former junior eurochamp on track and cross country and 8th at Samorin2017 where she earned european team tile senior women with here teammate Stephanie Twell (Gb) former world junior champ on 1500m and bronze medal in Amsterdam on 5000m.
European Marathon Champion 2014 Christelle Daunay (Fra) and italian middle distance Margherita Magnani (Ita) will be other two contender for another exciting edition of BOclassic.
