大香蕉是我第一張專輯，因為聽了 heroin 而開始對他們感興趣，對當時不聽老搖滾得我來說唱片架上有這張唱片確實蠻突兀的。
這張唱片不只是當時我唱片架上少數的老搖滾唱片，更是我少數會去看歌詞的唱片，對我來說他們的音樂是少數我覺得歌詞很重要的，像heroin這種音樂若不搭配歌詞衝擊力肯定會少了不少。
現在這張唱片已經快發黃了，不時還是會拿出來聽，以前覺得茫然時會聽”sunday morning”，後來喜歡”I’m waiting for my man”像火車般的節奏(The Strokes的Morden Age很有這首歌的感覺)，裡面唯一我較不滿意的nico，我實在沒有辦法喜歡她的聲音。
後來大一在敦南誠品買了他們的同名專輯，這張至今一直是我聽過最多次的老搖滾專輯，" Candy Says ”、" What Goes On”、"Pale Blue Eyes"、" Jesus "、" Beginning to See the Light "、" I’m Set Free " ，列一列幾乎整張專輯的歌都快列出來了，這張少了前兩張專輯的噪音，但旋律平易近人。
對我來說The Velvet UnderGround就是那個不管你音樂品味如何改變，你還是會把它拿出來聽的團，而且每次聽都有不同的感覺。Lou Reed走了，我不敢在臉書發不掉念他的文章，因為至今仍然不和他太裝熟，只好默默的把 The Velvet Underground 拿出來，跳到第四首歌，重播在重播。
