Alchemic Vibes

One of the core principles of alchemy is that the success in the material world cannot be truly achieved unless the journey is accompanied by spiritual growth. Each of the seven stages of the Magnum Opus — the Great Work that in the visible realm leads the seeker to the Philosophers Stone — requires meticulous work with ones consciousness. While for the bystander alchemists transmutations in the lab seem chaotic, the truth is that each of these physical experiments is mirroring the work that is taking place within. During the first stage — called the Calcination — the main focus for the scholar is to attempt to withdraw their consciousness from their senses, this attempt is also known as the “Dark night of the soul” as this is when the scholar would confront the shadow within, likely for the first time in their life.

August in a nutshell

  • MASQ / Alchemist artwork campaign was held where all the creative alchemists had a chance to submit their works for the chance to win a crucible subscribed to the MASQ Aludel and filled with tokens.
  • Crucible website started supporting Ledger>Metamask including minting a crucible, subscribing to Aludels etc.
  • mistX fees were distributed to the Alchemist Aludel holders as announced previously, now set to take place monthly.
  • Alchemist.wtf launched with a sleek, fresh and sexy look. Find all of our projects conveniently from one central location.
  • Alchemist Radio Groovestock party was held and was a total sensation — there was music, there was beer and the word on the street is there might have been even a few girls.

Community Showcase

As part of the monthly newsletter we are showcasing some of the alchemists who help keep the wheels of the labs in motion — in August we interviewed Crypto King.

Tell us a bit about your background/experience/yourself.

I’m CryptoKing, from the Netherlands. I like to travel, meet new people and learn about and experience other cultures. I got into crypto about a year ago when one of my friends told me about it, I love technology and crypto was the perfect fit. I am now looking to get into programming so if any of you have tips I would appreciate it!

Which projects are you working on right now?

I am mainly active in customer support; If you have a suggestion, question or a problem while using crucible or MistX I am there to help you. You can find me in the MistX and crucible channels on discord and in the live chat on MistX.

What do you think the future for Alchemist will be like, what will be the endgame for us?

“The only plan is that there is no plan” The nice thing about not having a plan is that you don’t have any limitations, the sky is the limit! I think Alchemist is building an ecosystem that fixes core issues in the way that defi functions today. And makes it safer and easier for users to interact with DeFi.
