Getting the Help You Need at Alder

Alder is deeply invested in serving our customers and meeting their needs. With this in mind, we recently asked some of our Call Center staff how customers can most quickly and efficiently get what they need, when they need it. We hope the following thoughts will help you make the most of your Alder Call Center and service experiences!

1. Know your Alder account number

The most common way accounts are looked up is by telephone number. But those numbers sometimes change. What won’t change is your Alder account number.

2. Know what you need

Writing down your questions can sometimes help, and can ensure you don’t forget to ask an important question. If you have a system issue, check your panel before you call to see what is happening. Press “Security” and then “Status” and your panel will briefly summarize any problem. It just might surprise you what you can learn!

3. Ask about in-house technical support

When you have an equipment issue, sometimes a technician really needs to come to your home. Often, however, problems can be solved right over the phone, saving you time and money.

4. Plan for a little time when you call in

Troubleshooting can take a bit more upfront time, but it can save you lots of time over the long run.

5. Consider our Premium Service Plan

Alder offers a very low cost coverage plan for in-home technician visits. It is only $3.00 per month, but covers any technician visit fee for any service need or reason.

As the industry has moved to charging technician visit fees (virtually every alarm company now does), we’ve had to follow suit to keep your costs competitively low. While Alder’s visit fee is among the lowest, and your equipment is warrantied for life (including any existing equipment that we integrated to save you money at installation), even the highest quality system can have technical problems. Storms, power surges, weather changes and other environmental factors can disrupt any alarm system. While a wireless system will give you the most dependable service (it won’t go down if your telephone and other lines are compromised), it is still susceptible to environmental influences. Just as a wireless cell phone can sometime have signal problems, so can your alarm system. With the Premium Service Plan you can rest easy that technician visit fees are always covered.

We hope these few thoughts might make your Alder Customer Service experiences to be more effective and effortless. Always let us know if you are having any special problems. Customer Service can be reached at: 888–278–3008, or you can always email to: CustomerService@Alder.com at any time.

We look forward to serving you!
