Exeedme Partners With Aleph.im: Decentralized Gaming Meets Crosschain Storage
We are very excited to announce this partnership with Exeedme, a blockchain-powered tournament platform running on Polkadot, powered by DeFi (decentralized finance) via NFTs and fungible crypto assets.

Exeedme is targeting the gaming industry estimated to a global market of $159 billion in revenue in 2020 and an audience of 2.7 billion gamers. It proposes a new business model called Play2Earn. Unlike the traditional Free2Play model where players are monetised based on ads and in-app purchases, the Play2Earn model rewards players of all levels. This also totally disrupts the current esport model that only rewards pro players who commit endless amounts of time.
How Will Exeedme Use Aleph.im Cloud Services?
Exeedme will integrate with aleph.im using aleph.im Python and/or Javascript Client Libraries primarily for decentralizing its NFTs.

As explained in a previous blog post on Fully Decentralized NFTs with aleph.im, many DApps suffer partial centralization as their NFT metadata is too heavy to be put on any blockchain.
That’s where aleph.im comes in: it can host files of any size on its decentralized network, enabling projects to decentralized its cloud storage infrastructure. The end of an era and the start of a new one where cloud data is unstoppable, secure and run by an open-source permissionless peer-to-peer network.
