Aleph.im has released an update to its account page with a new feature for KYC-enabled staking. This update allows users to stake their tokens on locked nodes verified through a Know Your Customer (KYC) process. To use this feature, node owners must specify a KYC provider URL and a management account address. The URL will redirect the user to the KYC provider, which will perform the necessary compliance steps first. At the same time, the management account can control the addresses that successfully completed the KYC process.

How to stake on the Ubisoft node?
To use the KYC-enabled staking feature on Aleph.im’s account page, follow these steps on the locked node:
- Locate the “Locked Node.” The ones enabled for staking will show a new button called “Register.”
2. Confirm the warning screen to proceed.
3. You’ll be redirected to the Synaps KYC landing page, where you must finalize all necessary steps.
4. Once successfully KYC’ed, you’ll be redirected to Aleph.im’s account page and see that the “Register” button is changed to a “Stake” button. From here on, the process is the same as before.

How do I configure my node to make use of the KYC feature?
First, choose a KYC provider and obtain the URL to redirect the user to. From here on, the process is straightforward.
- Lock your node to enable the necessary form fields.
- Enter the URL for the KYC provider in the designated field.
- Enter the management account address in the appropriate field.
How many ALEPH do I need to stake?
The Minimum amount is 10k ALEPH.
Will there be a grace period when I unstake?
There is no grace period.
How long will my stake be locked?
Staking ALEPH is non-custodial, and therefore your stake is not locked. The network pings your wallet continuously to check if the amount staked is still present. If the amount is lower than the minimal amount required to stake, you will automatically be unstaked.
Do I need to unstake first if I want to stake more?
No, if you add more ALEPH to your wallet, it will automatically auto-compound.
