Welcome Dan Davidi, EIR

I’m thrilled to welcome Dan Davidi to Aleph. Dan is joining us as an Entrepreneur in Residence to pursue the areas of computational biology, synthetic biology and the intersection between artificial intelligence and the physical sciences.

Dan earned his PhD from the Weizmann Institute of Science and established the synthetic biology center at Harvard Medical School before moving on to a meaningful role at Amazon. His combination of commercial and academic experience, as well as his international network of unique and highly relevant relationships in both science and business, makes him a perfect candidate to focus on this area at Aleph.

We are extremely excited about what compute, machine learning models and artificial intelligence mean for the future of atoms. We have been spending time at Aleph learning about synthetic biology for the last few years and have finally taken the plunge with the person we regard as one of the foremost entrepreneurs, experts and networkers in the field. We are thrilled for Dan to lead the development of and investment in radical new technologies to solve hard, real world problems. Our vision is to work with local talent and players and establish strategic partnerships globally to accelerate the creation of new IP and relevant ventures. There will be special emphasis on building a local bioconvergence community. We want Israel to become the Boston of the Middle East and this is the first step toward making this long-term mission possible.

If you are an entrepreneur thinking about these areas, please do not hesitate to get in touch with either me or Dan. We are looking for very commercial and very disruptive businesses that explore the convergence of compute and the physical sciences to imagine a better world for humanity.
