The Aleph Zero Snap has now been added to one of the most popular wallets on the market. Learn what you can do with it and how to use it!

We’re thrilled to announce that through MetaMask Snaps, you can now transact with Aleph Zero network native assets on MetaMask using your Aleph Zero wallet.

Your MetaMask can now be used with Aleph Zero!

You can now fully integrate your MetaMask wallet into Aleph Zero. It allows you to sign transactions and messages using this popular wallet. This is a big boost for the interoperability of the Aleph Zero network as it enables using it across different blockchains with ease.

Here’s what you can do now with your MetaMask:

  • Create and manage your Aleph Zero account;
  • Use MetaMask with azero.dev wallet to send and stake assets and check balances;
  • Interact with Aleph Zero dApps using MetaMask;
  • Approve or reject actions directly from MetaMask.

How does it work?

Getting MetaMask to work with Aleph Zero is simple! Here are all the steps to get you started:

  1. Browse MetaMask Snaps Directory for Aleph Zero Snap — you can also go directly to the Aleph Zero Snap page and install it into your MetaMask.
  2. Once installed, go to the Accounts section on azero.dev.
  3. Import the account by clicking “from Snap” and follow the instructions in MetaMask.

That’s it! From now on, you’ll have the account available in azero.dev wallet and can sign any transaction in MetaMask. The Snap support will be made available on azero.dev Testnet and Mainnet shortly.

The Aleph Zero Snap is already available to developers, who can integrate it within their dapps and start supporting MetaMask as a wallet. You can learn more about integrating the Snap in the official documentation.

But what is MetaMask Snaps?

In case you’ve missed it, MetaMask Snaps is an open-source platform enabling developers to enhance MetaMask’s functionalities. It allows for the creation of plugins, known as “snaps,” that can integrate additional features such as support for various Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchains, APIs, identity services, and more, which are not available in the basic version of MetaMask.

The Aleph Zero Snap expands the wallet’s capabilities by making it even more interoperable, adding a new layer 1 to the supported list of networks.

So, if you’re using MetaMask:
