Reflecting on 200 issues of the Aleria Newsletter

Since May 2018 I have been writing the Aleria Newsletter (almost) every week. Today the 200th issue goes out. It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly four years since the beginning of this weekly newsletter, and therefore, the beginning of Aleria.

From the start, the Aleria team has been focused on changing the way people think about diversity, equity and inclusion, and more importantly, what they do about it. Our work is human-centric, grounded in data and focused on understanding the complexities and nuances that are unavoidable. And we embrace all this. It’s what makes this work messy and difficult, but also deeply impactful.

I strongly believe that working in DEI requires us to remain curious, open and know that there isn’t an upper limit to how much there is to learn about people’s lived experiences and needs. It is from this perspective that the Aleria Newsletter was created. Each week I have attempted to gather new research, debates, resources and more that I believe add to our ability to best serve our clients and, more importantly, their employees looking to work in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Knowing that this newsletter has been useful to so many others in the industry is gratifying and I appreciate the many kind words that we receive each week from the thousands of folks that read it.

Tweet from Matthew J Yazzie saying: Aleria! Hands down one of the best DEIB newsletters I’ve seen. Love the work you’re doing. Clapping emoji.
Chat messages showing Saba Karim saying, “Aleria has an awesome newsletter too… https://aleria.tech/newsletter check it out folks. Vadim Lidich responds saying Aleria team are superstars!

Here’s to the next 200!

P.S. If you’d like to chat about the Aleria Newsletter, measuring inclusion or the DEI industry in general, please reach out!
