What is CharacterGPT
CharacterGPT is the world’s first multimodal AI system able to create interactive characters from a description in natural language. In short, it enables Text-to-Character Generation or TTC.
With CharacterGPT, we enable our users to generate realistic and lifelike AI Characters with customizable personalities and intelligence. This revolutionary AI System has endless applications for businesses and creators alike. With CharacterGPT, you can create lifelike AI Characters that bring your stories, game, or Metaverse environments to life, engage customers and prospects in dynamic conversations, and provide an engaging user experience without writing a single line of code.
What does Text-To-Character mean?
CharacterGPT takes the text prompt in natural language that a user provides and generates a fully interactive and intelligent AI Character. There is no need to learn any code or specialized prompting to generate outputs.
What is the AI Protocol?
The AI Protocol is the property rights backbone of the Generative AI economy. It enables the creation, interoperability, and governance of AI Characters and Assets — the building blocks of tomorrow’s intelligent world. With its suite of persistent and decentralized smart contracts, the protocol self-enforces the rules set by ALI token holders. This enables creators to build AI dApps and assets that are interoperable with each other and provides a secure and trustless environment in which tokenized AI assets can be traded.

How does the ALI Utility Tokens system apply to dApps using CharacterGPT?
The ALI Utility Token ensures that the decentralized ecosystem of the AI Protocol can operate without the need for a trusted centralized party for settlements or transactions. Due to its role as the native utility token of the AI Protocol, all dApps leveraging the Intelligence Layer and its AI Systems, such as CharacterGPT, would need to pay for the access, utilization, finetuning, or deployment of the AI Systems in ALI Token to the respective AI Providers. We also anticipate various dApps allowing their users to pay for the services in ALI Tokens.
What is an iNFT?
The term iNFT stands for an intelligent Non-Fungible-Token. An iNFT has the exclusive right to access the Intelligence Layer and its AI Systems, such as CharacterGPT. All dApps built on the AI Protocol can access the Intelligence Layer via an iNFT. Each iNFT can channel intelligence to one dApp. The AI Services an iNFT can offer within the dApp will depend on its Intelligence Level.
An iNFT is created by fusing the native AI Asset of the AI Protocol: an Intelligence Pod (ERC-721) with any Protocol Compatible Asset (an ERC-721) using the AI Protocol’s smart contracts. With this act of fusion, the Intelligence Pod of the iNFT is locked in the AI Protocol and enables the iNFT access to the Intelligence Layer.
Will there be developer documentation for CharacterGPT?
You will need an iNFT to develop using CharacterGPT. We plan to release thorough documentation on accessing the Intelligence Layer and its AI Systems such as Character with your iNFT. Where will generative AI characters live in Alethea AI’s ecosystem?
Characters that are generated on dApps that utilize CharacterGPT, and are then tokenized as NFTs, are fully compatible with the Protocol and can be fused or used in other dApps. Such tokenized AI Characters are called Protocol Compatible Assets (PCA), and their ownership belongs to their creators. The PCAs will be interoperable across the other dApps that will be built on the AI Protocol.
Why are Personality Pods getting renamed to Intelligence Pods?
With the upgrade to Version 2.0 of the AI Protocol, “Personality Pods” have been upgraded to “Intelligence Pods,” due to the formation of the Intelligence Layer. As the native AI Assets of the AI Protocol, the Intelligence Pods are no longer only limited to hosting on-chain personalities, but can now be considered as their unique on-chain Intelligence that can be customized and trained by their owners.
After an Intelligence Pod is fused with a Protocol Compatible Asset, they provide the iNFT with the ability to access the Intelligence Layer and power a decentralized application (dApp) — channeling customized and unique AI Services to the users of the dApp.
What changed with Intelligence Pods?
Intelligence Pods can not only access the Intelligence from the Intelligence Layer but also channel intelligence to other protocol-compatible assets once they are fused with them. This enables iNFTs to launch or power their dApp.
One iNFT can only be utilized to create one dApp. The AI Services an iNFT can offer within the dApp will depend on its Intelligence Level. It is important to remember that any Protocol Compatible Asset, including other iNFTs, will be able to access that dApp and utilize the AI Services offered without any limitations.
How is CharacterGPT impactful for the current Alethean Community?
With the roll-out of CharacterGPT, we are adding tremendous utility to the role of Intelligence Pods and iNFTs within our ecosystem. While you will be able to still fuse and create an iNFT, and your Pods and iNFTs will still be able to use AI Services per their Intelligence Level — you will also (if you wish) be able to create dApps by taking advantage of the AI models on the Intelligence Layer with your iNFT.
Your iNFTs will also benefit as more dApps are created. Currently, your iNFTs only exist in Noah’s Ark. As people build dApps compatible with other iNFTs, your iNFTs will plug and play in the new dApps.
How can I take part in governance?
Any ALI Utility Token holder can connect their wallet to the AI Protocol Snapshot page. As long as they have a minimum of 1,000 ALI, each ALI Utility Token will count as one vote for any open governance proposals.
What is Progressive Decentralization?
Progressive Decentralization means that community governance will roll out in phases. During the first phase of governance, only AI Protocol Institute Admins can create proposals for ALI Utility Token Holders to vote on. As the AI Protocol matures, more governance responsibilities will be passed to the ALI Utility Token holders.
What is the Content Moderation Council?
The content moderation council is part of the AI Protocol Institute. The CMC will review AI Assets created and flagged on the AI Protocol that may violate the terms of service or the Constitution of the AI Protocol. The CMC will then create a proposal for the removal of the AI Assets on the Snapshot Governance page.
