Imageboards support was the first to be added, but the medium mentions it only now. For a while, imageboards support was disabled, and now re-enabled again.
Aletheo browser extension
Since imageboards have no usernames, to get paid for posting about anything you like to post in Aletheo Generals, you must use additional software, download it here. For your security it’s best to use a clean instance of any Firefox based browser, i.e. download some Firefox browser, Firefox Nightly or Waterfox for example, specifically to post on imageboards and do not store any kind of sensitive info in that browser.
Add-on will generate poster address for you, with which it will sign your posts automatically, and all you have to do for it to work is to link your rewards address to it, any address you want to receive rewards to. This architecture basically puts you at 0 risk, since basically all you need to share with the browser add-on is your public key(rewards address).
Now you have several options to monetize your online banter:
- Posting in Aletheo generals will earn you LET tokens for every post regardless of the topic you like to post about.
- If you mention “aletheo” in a post in any non-general threads on supported by Aletheo board, you will get paid.
There will be different campaigns with different keywords, whatever stakers will launch, but for simplicity of explanation in this article we only use one default keyword “aletheo”. Rules are very simple:
- If you will just spam it, most likely you won’t earn anything.
- Make sure that your posts won’t be deleted by a mod. Oracle can’t see them if the posts are deleted, so your incentive is to be a natural poster with Aletheo bag, not a paid promoter of Aletheo.
- And don’t forget to follow local guidelines: don’t use the imageboard to send spam or scam users. Don’t promote violence. Don’t post illegal pornographic content.
Stake bonus
Maximum stake bonus is 1000, so to acquire maximum stake bonus a poster must lock 1000 LET as a proof of commitment. A poster with more skin in the game earns more. A poster with stake of 1000 earns 26x(subject to change) more than a poster with no stake. In addition, staked LET tokens provide passive income, 5% of total LET yearly emission goes to LET stakers.
