Identity privacy has been at the core of blockchain technology’s promise and a constant priority for most of us developing decentralized applications. But blockchain is also a trust machine, creating the right environment to control how and where you share your personal information.
In the spirit of transparency, we’re excited to announce the integration of 3Box social profiles on our EthStats Blockchain Analytics Platform! As a result of our out-of-the-box partnership with 3box.io, EthStats can now be a social blockchain explorer, providing you more than insights into transactions, nodes and blocks.
Opt-in 3Box user profiles on EthStats now support photos, display names, websites URLs and verified social accounts (GitHub, Twitter). Information is safely logged through your account on https://3box.io/ and this gives you full control over what details you want to make public.
Whether you’re checking transactions to and from family or friends, researching a token holder, or monitoring a donations account, social information helps you check identities and quickly profile account holders.
We envision a multitude of use cases when attaching this type of information to an account will make existing blockchain users engage more openly and inspire new ones to trust our ecosystem.
